It doesn’t make sense, none of it does.
When people ask me why I make films, I have no rational answer for them. It’s been such a large part of my life that I can’t imagine living without it. Telling stories allow me to gain a stronger empathy for people from all walks of life; their struggles and motivations in choosing how they lead their lives. It also helps me in learning to come to terms with personal issues in my own life. So, I guess in that way, making films for me is about making sense of the world.
